What I do...
Producing
I love to support the development of new work whether that be indoor or outdoor work, with professional artists, young people and/or with community members. I work closely with artists and partners to maximise the potential of the work, by building partnerships, fundraising and supporting other practical logistics that take the work from ideas to fruition. I see my role as enabling and supporting artists and participants to focus on the artistic processes.
Project/Event Management
I have worked on lots of different projects and events throughout my career, working with a variety of different communities, artists and professionals. I love to work with all different types of people, particularly those who are new to dance and/or theatre. I pride myself on my communication and organisational skills. I am confident in managing all elements of a project/event from ideas, to budgets to licensing. I hold an online up to date DBS.
Training & Development
I am committed to providing opportunities for our current and next generation of artists to be inspired and to develop their artforms. I have managed and delivered on a number of training programmes including; Centre for Advanced Dance Training DanceXchange, Emerge Festivals with The Mighty Creatives & Arts Connect, Strive (Training programme for Artists working with marginalised communities), and numerous programmes with Youth Dance England (now One Dance UK). I am also an Arts Award Advisor for Bronze, Silver and Gold.
